I saw them in a very small place called The Knitting Factory in NYC in the mid-late 90's and they along with Last Exit were the loudest band I have ever seen.It was almost painful, but it was a fun show. They have a bunch of shows here on LMA.

I met Laswell and Sonny Sharrock. My pal still works with Laswell. PRAXIS.

I also got to meet Sonny on a few occasions and contrary to his fiery musical persona he was a very soft spoken and friendly gentleman.Never had the pleasure of meeting Laswell, but did see him perform dozens of times with many different lineups including Praxis with Buckethead and Bernie Worrell. It's a shame the talents of these two ground breaking, great musicians goes widely unrecognized.

Well, how many folks on the street can talk to you about James Blood Ulmer and Jamaldeen Tacuma and Calvin Weston? Those were some shows... I imagine you may have seen the same at Knitting Factory.

I can't say with any certainty I saw that lineup.I saw Blood with David Murray and a few other trio's.I would think we shared an audience or two considering all the music you saw in NYC and the different artists you have mentioned.I have to say here on the archive you can find someone who will chime in on almost anyone you can mention, which is very cool.
